Anamorphosis,

when a strongly distorted image, which is observed from a specific  position, very inclined with respect to its plane, acquires a "true form".
What's underneath? An optical illusion technique, that projects the image on the plane in a distorted way and only by distorting our point of view, we can "reconstruct" it.
Here in fact: anamorphosis from the Greek ἀναμόρϕωσις, means “reconstructed form”. [op. cit.]
The result of this work is therefore a reconstruction, obtained by a distortion . A reconstruction of the order, based on the use of primitive geometric shapes that
they are photographed distorted and, through software processing, rectified. A
reconstruction of order, where there is no order. Bringing back my "point of view" on the disorder generated by the wild urbanization of the plain in which I live, the one that goes from Pistoia to Florence in Italy.
Here the succession of urbanizations of the various "Macrolotti", as these areas are called, covered by artisanal warehouses built in series, one next to the other, has generated casting of concrete, and indiscriminate use of the soil. Photographing the geometries of these buildings and "putting them back in order" is, for me, a necessary exercise, which serves to do everything more acceptable, process the disturbance to put everything back in place. It is a graphic research, led, at times, to the limit of abstractionism, as if to hide what the indiscriminate work of the "modern man" has create around the beauty, envied by the whole world, of our historical centers. It is deliberately a critical look at my city and its surroundings, cradle of unique and inimitable artistic elements, surrounded by the "ugly" generated by the speculations.
So that everything can return to its place ...
